About Course

Exam Mockups 101 — a full series of timed practice exams that walk you through the entire first-year accounting syllabus, one topic pack at a time. Each mockup mirrors the real thing: proper question paper, mark allocation, time limit, and a separate memorandum so you can mark yourself honestly before moving on.

Start where you are and work through the series in order — or jump straight to the topic you need to drill. Every mockup includes a Section A multiple-choice set, a Section B of structured questions, and full worked solutions in the matching memorandum.

Mockups in this course:

  • Mock 1 — Accounting Equation + Debits & Credits — 60 min — 50 marks — classify accounts, apply the accounting equation, and record transactions using debits and credits.
  • Mock 2 — Journals & Ledger Accounts — 75 min — 60 marks — subsidiary journals, posting to the ledger, Debtors Control, and General Journal entries with narrations.
  • Mock 3 — Trial Balance + Bank Reconciliation — 90 min — 65 marks — prepare a trial balance, clear a suspense account, and reconcile the cash book to the bank statement.
  • Mock 4 — Financial Statements — 90 min — 70 marks — Statement of Profit or Loss, Statement of Financial Position, cost of sales, and profitability ratios.
  • Mock 5 — Integrated (Packs 1–4) — 120 min — 75 marks — a combined paper drawing on the accounting equation, journals, trial balance, and bank reconciliation.
  • Mock 6 — Full Integrated (All 6 Packs) — 180 min — 100 marks — the full syllabus in one sitting, from the accounting equation through to financial statements.

Each mockup comes with a separate memorandum containing all answers and step-by-step worked solutions, plus a self-marking summary grid. New mockups are added regularly, so check back often.
